Julie Nelson
Julie, one of our mentors at The Waters Church, developed a Bible study that meets everyone where they are—from first-time readers to those who regularly engage with Scripture. This workbook provides valuable tools for studying the Bible, whether individually or in a group setting. We encourage our mentors and mentees to take the class offered at our church. Julie is also dedicated to expanding the ministry’s impact by providing accessible and practical Bible study materials for a wide range of audiences. To explore how this study can be incorporated into a class or personal study, reach out to Julie for more details.
MaryRose Capko
After losing her son, Jack, Maryrose struggled to find support for her grief. This led her to utilize his college fund to go back to school to become a Certified Bereavement Caregiver.
Everyone experiences grief at some point in their lives, whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a house fire, the loss of a marriage, or any other feeling of loss. Maryrose believes that no one should ever be alone in their grief.
She has become a great resource for churches and mentors who need support in care and mentoring when they don’t have the experience. Maryrose works with people as they journey through grief by listening and offering help as needed.
Amanda Meyer
Amanda has a desire and passion to encourage women to seek out Jesus in all they do. She has had the opportunity to mentor women through small groups, 1 on 1 mentoring through Becoming Her, and through natural, organic relationships.
Amanda wholeheartedly believes what scripture says about Jesus being the gift of peace. She has experienced His peace throughout her journey of being an autism mom. Her journey of seeking His peace has taught her the importance of the pause to inquire of the Lord moment by moment.
Her love for Jesus has led her to create a variety of resources like her Verse Mapping Journal and her Gratitude & Prayer Journal to encourage women to keep their eyes on Jesus.
Becky Meyerson
Becky’s love for the Word and teaching is reflected in her website, which offers a variety of studies to help you grow in your understanding of who God is and what His Word says.
One of the tools we highlight is The Volcano: A Tool for Managing Your Thoughts, which puts Philippians 4:8 into practice and can be valuable for both mentors and mentees.
You can also explore her podcast series, Pray & Don’t Lose Heart, along with many other valuable resources!
